______Retrofit Consultant
With Scotland targeting net-zero emissions by 2045–2050 — and with around 80% of the buildings that will be in use by then already constructed — the retrofit of existing buildings will play a critical role in the nation’s carbon-reduction strategy. Effective retrofit not only lowers carbon emissions, but also reduces utility costs, improves occupant health and comfort, and helps protect households from damp, mould, and fuel poverty.
From initial appraisal through to project completion and in-use performance, our Retrofit Consultancy service supports clients, contractors, and design teams who operate across multiple industry sectors. We deliver cost-effective, high-quality retrofit solutions that minimise risk and provide expert guidance at every stage of the journey.
Carbon Futures is seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to lead our growing Retrofit offering in Scotland, which is currently supporting more than 600 homes across over 50 projects throughout the country. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and manage retrofit delivery at scale within a forward-thinking company committed to collaboration, innovation, and professional development.
The role demands a strong blend of deep building-physics knowledge, familiarity with rigorous quality standards (particularly PAS 2035 & PAS 2038), excellent energy and performance-modelling skills, and robust project-management capability.
