157 New Affordable Homes for the Wheatley Group

Details were released in April 2026  by Collective Architecture, giving us a glimpse of the Wheatley Groups proposed new mixed-tenure housing development on London Road.

The plans seek to regenerate a long-vacant brownfield site located adjacent to the Commonwealth Games Athletes Village, Emirates Arena and Celtic Park.

The housing mix project consists of 133 one, two and three bedroom flats and 24 three and four bedroom houses including wheelchair accessible homes. The flats range from 4-storey to 6-storey, while the townhouses are 3-storey.

Carbon Futures is proud to be supporting this prominent development, highlighted in Glasgow City Council’s Strategic Housing Investment Plan.

As the appointed energy and sustainability consultants, we will guide our client through all RIBA Work Stages, ensuring the development meets their requirements for energy performance and complies with NPF4 and SG5 Resource Management under planning policy, and the 2026 Building Standards for Building Warrant.

We look forward to continued collaboration with the design team as the project progresses.
