2026 Scottish Property Awards Finalists – Net Zero Development of the Year

We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for the 2026 Scottish Property Awards for our contribution to the Take A Bow Opportunity Centre.

The centre was constructed in the early 1970s and, after nearly 50 years of use, was in need of substantial improvements to keep it operational and provide the community with a key asset. Take A Bow Development Trust were committed to extending and refurbishing the existing building to bring it up to modern standards and to also align the building with Net Zero Carbon performance criteria.

Carbon Futures undertook detailed operational energy modelling (CIBSE TM54) to assess numerous improvement options and inform an exemplary specification. Measures included Fabric Enhancements, Zero Direct Emission Space and Water Heating, Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery, and Renewable Technology.

We’re excited to celebrate this achievement alongside other finalists at February’s awards ceremony at the Doubletree Hilton, Glasgow.
