Footprint+ Q&A with our director, Andrew Money

Our team are looking forward to making the trip to London next week where we will be exhibiting and participating at FOOTPRINT+ on 8th and 9th May.

The international conference for decarbonising the built environment explores how technology and materials, energy systems and data can work together synergistically to drive down buildings' carbon emissions. With 7 vibrant conference stages, the event features bespoke installations, an inspirational design forum and exciting networking events.

Our director Andrew Money gave his insights on last year's event and looks forward to the event being held in London this year.

Why is it important that the UK’s property, planning and sustainability sectors come together at FOOTPRINT+?

As energy and sustainability consultants, Carbon Futures believe collaboration is key to the success of any project, whether that be new build development or improving existing building assets. FOOTPRINT+ offers the perfect platform for industry-leading professionals to come together and discuss opportunities to collaborate, share ideas, and support efforts to decarbonise the built environment. We look forward to demonstrating the positive impact we continue to have by operating as part of project design teams.

What did you hear about / experience at our last year’s event which has made you want to come back?

Last year's event was a fantastic opportunity for us to engage with like-minded professionals and learn about the challenges being faced across the industry. It was clear that FOOTPRINT+ presented a fantastic platform for us to demonstrate our capabilities and offer support to a wide range of client groups. Whilst Brighton was a fantastic location, we look forward to the event being hosted in the centre of London and believe this will help the event to grow and attract more industry professionals to attend, engage, and be inspired.

When you attend FOOTPRINT+ in May 2024 what will you be sharing with conference delegates, policy makers, your partners, and your industry peers?

As experts in energy modelling, we produce detailed analysis on building performance to support a wide network of client groups and projects of varying scale. We are passionate about performance and are keen to demonstrate the positive impact that can be achieved by developing beyond the minimum standards and maximising building energy performance. It's an exciting opportunity for us to be exhibiting at FOOTPRINT+ 2024 and we look forward to showcasing the range of projects we are supporting across the industry.

What are you looking to get out of the FOOTPRINT+ event?

We are continuing to expand our operations across many areas of the country, and we view FOOTPRINT+ as a key opportunity to promote the services we offer and celebrate the fantastic work being undertaken by our team. The road to a Net Zero future presents many challenges for all, so it will be important for us to engage with, and learn from, fellow professionals and use the event to understand more about the current challenges being faced across the industry.
